The Internet was supposed make things easier, right?

Information at the speed of light, at your fingertips. Millions of purveyors of information standing at the ready. Anything and everything available. 24/7, to give you the ‘edge’ and provide you with anything you need.

Instead, scams abound. People are conned at every turn, even by companies that come HIGHLY recommended by the likes of Forbes magazine.

Have you ever tried to get your money back from some of these online hacks? And, as a testimony to that, have you tried hiring an attorney online?

Another popular scam: ONLINE SUBSCRIPTION BASED LEGAL PROGRAMS. Stories abound about them, too, and none of them describe spectacular successes — instead, they talk about having their services CANCELLED when they try to use them, often after MANY years of paying subscription prices that total many thousands of dollars over the course of a few years.

Few, if any, of the online promises we’re made bear any significant ‘fruit’ at all. In fact, people are fast losing confidence in anything they find online because the so called ‘benefits’ of doing business online are frequently outweighed by the risks involved.

Unscrupulous and unethical businesses, fueled by Internet referrals, are everywhere. Phony reviews posted by scammers and their friends have created an atmosphere in which only the most naive among us are trusting of the things they read. But the busier we are, the less time we have to research the businesses we’re hiring — leaving us at the mercy of the less-than-scrupulous.

Lost somewhere in the midst of this are the businesspeople who really do offer decent services at reasonable prices, good customer service and reputable business practices.

The question, though, is how to find them in this veritable sea of businesses that don’t back up the ‘products’ they sell?
